How does my podcast reach listeners?

Before you submit

Publish your feed at a public RSS URL with artwork and at least one playable episode. Keep access to the owner email in the feed. A downloaded XML file, your Ninacast editor URL, and a podcast website address are not substitutes for a hosted RSS URL.

Guest users can export XML, but must host that feed and its audio before submitting. Use a Ninacast account for Ninacast hosting, or your own hosting service.

Apple Podcasts

  1. Sign in to Apple Podcasts Connect. Use the plus button to create a show, choose the RSS option, and enter your feed URL.
  2. Add the show, then check its imported details. Complete the content-rights and contact information.
  3. Under Availability, choose territories, distribution, transcript preferences, and release timing.
  4. Save, fix any validation warnings, and publish for Apple’s review. Check its status in Connect; submission is not the same as a live listing.

Spotify

  1. Sign in to Spotify for Creators. Open the account menu and choose Add a new show.
  2. Choose Find an existing show, then Somewhere else for a Ninacast-hosted feed. “Existing” refers to your hosted podcast; it need not already have a Spotify listing.
  3. Enter your RSS URL. Retrieve the verification code sent to the email associated with the feed and enter it to prove ownership.
  4. Complete the remaining setup prompts and check the show’s Spotify listing. If verification is blocked, confirm the feed’s email address and that you can receive mail there.

Already listed?

Manage or claim the existing show instead of submitting a duplicate. If you have changed hosts, follow each directory’s feed-update process.

After the first submission

Continue publishing episodes to the same hosted RSS feed. Directories check it for updates; you do not submit the show again for each episode. Processing is not instant, so confirm the new episode appears before promoting it.

Ready to share when

Your show is live in the directories you chose, and you have opened each public listing and checked playback. Share those listening links with your audience.

Submission steps checked against official documentation on September 14, 2026. Platform labels may change.
